CAP-B Series - The FlexIR CAP-B Series for non-segmented bus bar system is a large-format combination of infrared, visual, and ultraviolet inspection windows specifically designed for the power generation and large power user market. The bolted window design also acts as an access port for repairs, as it can be easily removed to allow the engineer access to repair the fault. Once refitted, the bus bar system can be re-energized and the repaired joint can be inspected to confirm that the repair was effective and reliability is achieved.

VP-12-IR Series
The VP-12-IR’s 12mm viewing area was designed for tight areas or for use with infrared (IR) cameras with smaller, wider-angle lens systems. While the VP-12-IR is small in size, it is still big in features. The polymer lens material and switchgear grade plastics assure compliance by maintaining an IP65/NEMA 4 seal, whether open or closed. With the smaller footprint of the VP-12-IR, it could be the answer for providing thermographers access to more challenging areas. This will allow monitoring of equipment that would not have been possible with a larger window. The durability, flexibility and proven transmission stability of IRISS polymer IR windows continue with the VP-12-IR.

VP-12-US Series
A standard and systematic approach to data collection is essential to establishing a repeatable and reproducible condition-based monitoring program that provides asset Reliability. VP-12-US standardizes the location and method for accessing consistent and quality acoustic data, regardless of the ultrasound technician’s experience or enclosure rating. Easily identify potential hazards and faults such as arcing, tracking and corona in electrical distribution systems and switchgear through the VP-12-US. NEMA rated enclosures require only access through the port where technicians can safely collect data on energized equipment in accordance with NFPA 70E safety mandates. The grill allows ultrasound but prevents objects from being pushed into the panel.

VPDS Series
The VPDS Ultrasound Sensor is the most effective and safest way to perform ultrasound inspection on energized electrical assets from low to high voltage. Ultrasound electrical inspection has been relegated to scanning the seams and opening of electrical assets for years. Oftentimes, the inspector runs into antagonistic ultrasound from other sources, limiting the inspector from achieving the critical angle of the incident wave to analyze the best sound wave. To improve the effectiveness and safety of the ultrasound inspector, IRISS designed the first Ultrasound Sensor that is mounted in the panel with a transducer on the inside facing the gear. With its 3.5 mm headphone jack, almost every make and model of ultrasound testing device can plug in and listen to the gear safely from the outside. This allows the inspector to quickly identify the existence of potentially hazardous faults such as corona, treeing, tracking, delamination of windings and loose connections.

VPFC Series
The VPFC Series (Viewing Pane Fixed Crystal) IR windows are specially coated to reduce transmission drift due to moisture/humidity. However, industrial users are strongly encouraged to investigate the VPT Series of industrial-grade IR windows, which are specifically designed for stability in harsh industrial environments and have an limited lifetime warranty. The transmission rate characteristics of CaF2 are suitable for higher temperature applications, shortwave and midwave thermography, and the visual spectrum. Medium to longwave transmission rates (7-14 microns) are typically between 40%-50% based on the infrared (IR) camera detector sensitivities at different wavelengths.

Sonus Vue Pro Software
The Sonus Vue Pro software provides the user with the tools necessary to migrate from basic to more advanced ultrasound analysis with Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Time Series, 3D Surface imaging and Spectrograms. With the ability to overlay FFT and Time Signal Analysis of several sound waves, the software can easily allow the inspector to see harmonic indications that can be used to determine fault type and severity. With 3D Surfacing, the software gives an amazing view of the Time Signal, Amplitude and Frequency of Occurrence in a colorized 3D Model. PDS Series
Partial Discharge Sensor Ports (PDS) are used in conjunction with a handheld Ultrasound measurement device, allowing the end user to take closed-panel Ultrasound decibel readings and listen to the audible signals coming from a piece of equipment. In this way, problems like Arcing, Tracking and Corona can be detected without the need for maintenance personnel to wear PPE. The PDS is a small square plate with no cover with an IP10 (NEMA1) rating and has a 3.5mm female adapter for connection to a handheld ultrasound. Note that a special adapter cable may be required depending on the brand and model of the handheld being used. Adapter cables for SONUS-XT and SONUS-PD are available from IRISS. FlexIR-Clear Series
The FlexIR-Clear range of products is another innovative addition to the custom solutions from IRISS to ensure that your inspection windows meet your needs and assist in your Reliability Program. One of the most difficult things to overcome in infrared inspections of electrical systems is imaging through the clear polycarbonate safety guards that are typically installed in front of electrical connections and which completely block the transmission of infrared radiation. These guards maintain the IP20 touch-safe requirement by ensuring that no one can accidentally touch the energized components when the panel cover is removed. The FlexIR-Clear range of products is a clear polycarbonate grill that is IP20 compliant and allows direct temperature measurement of energized components for infrared and visual inspections while ensuring the operators cannot come in contact with the energized components.
QwikFit-IR
The QwikFit-IR is a unique solution for panel board applications where a small-frame breaker’s load-side connections would not be visible for infrared inspection, even if a custom dead-front replacement panel had been installed. The QwikFit-IR replaces the small frame breaker’s standard blanking plate, providing unparalleled inspection access. QwikFit-IR snaps in place and are available for Square D™ I-Line combo and distribution panel boards.
